Tools You Need for Your Creative Online Business
I wanted to share a list of the tools that my business can’t live without because I honestly think that all creative entrepreneurs should be using these tools or at least similar tools.
I have tried many different tools over the past couple years and I have found these to be the best ones. These tools may not be for everyone, but I know a lot of other entrepreneurs do use these.
We all function differently, therefore, we all require different types of tools. So test some of these out and see what you think. If you don’t like them, no big deal, just try a similar tool instead. There are new tools being developed every day, so play around with a few!

Some of these tools are free and some of them are paid, but most of them at least have a free trial so you can test things out before diving in! I will mention the prices with each tool so you know what to expect.
Price: free (although there is a paid option)
Asana is for digital project and task management. More and more people are preferring digital options over all else. But what I like to do for planning projects and my life is to use both a physical and a digital planner.
In my physical planner I plan everything and write it out. Then in my digital Asana planner I break down my plans into actionable bite sized steps.
I am still learning more ways to use Asana for business and it’s amazing! For example, I just started using it to plan out my blog content!
The best part (besides the fact that it’s free) is that Asana will send you notifications on your phone and send emails to remind you of your tasks that are due!
Did I mention it’s free!?
Price: free (although they do have paid options)
Evernote is used to organize thoughts, notes, and plans for your business. And I know what you’re thinking, another digital organization tool! Yes, but this one isn’t for planning out your tasks and projects in the way Asana does.
Evernote is where I organize my blog posts, content upgrades, and my thoughts and future plans for my business. I also use it to take notes for my business.
There is also a web clipper feature so you can clip articles and pages you find helpful online and save them within your Evernote notebooks.
While you can pay to upgrade your account on Evernote, I use the free version and it does everything I need!
You can have the desktop version and sync it your the app so you can easily add new ideas while you’re on the go.
Tailwind is used to schedule and grow your Pinterest. Pinterest is my #1 traffic driver. And the same is true for majority of bloggers and online businesses out there.
In order to really grow your Pinterest you need to pin A LOT each and every day, consistently. Who has time for that!?
Enter my favorite scheduler, Tailwind. For a low monthly fee, you can easily grow your Pinterest and your traffic. Just schedule out your pins ahead of time then sit back and watch the traffic roll in!
Tailwind also has awesome additional features so you can really take advantage of Pinterest for your business.
You can get a $15 credit when you sign up through this Tailwind link!
ConvertKit is an email marketing platform to building your email list. Hopefully you understand the importance of an email list for your business. Equally important is using the right email marketing platform.
Unlike most other platforms, ConvertKit was actually built for bloggers and online businesses. (And actually most of the workers there are creative entrepreneurs themselves!) They make it easy to set up automation, content upgrades, sales sequences, and organize your list.
The easier the platform the more likely you are to want to use it and grow your email list.
You can get your free trial when you sign up through this ConvertKit link!

Photoshop is used to edit your photos and design your marketing graphics. While there are endless free photo editing tools, none of them offer as many features as Adobe Photoshop.
With Photoshop you can not only edit your photos into beautiful pieces but you can create your social media and website graphics too.
Photoshop does have a bit of a learning curve but there are endless tutorials within Photoshop and online.
Price: free (but they do have a paid option)
Canva is where you can design all your marketing graphics. If you can’t fit Photoshop into your budget just yet, Canva is a great second option for creating social media and website graphics.

Each of these tools are tools that I actually use for myself and absolutely love using them! Honestly, I don’t think I could run my business without them. At least not as smoothly and while remaining sane.
