1. No Brand
Some people think a brand just means their logo. But there is so much more to it than that! Your brand defines your business. Yes your logo is apart of your brand. But your brand is also your voice, your mission, your values, colors, fonts, and photography.
When you think of your brand as just a logo you are going to struggle with having a real brand and having a real business. Without knowing your brand, you won’t have consistency.
Having consistent branding on your website shows professionalism which can help turn into trust.
Think about it, would you feel comfortable buying something online from a website that has all these random colors and fonts throughout? Where nothing fits together? It just looks like a disaster and unprofessional. So no, probably not.
Take the time to really think of what your brand is and make it the right way. Or hire someone to help you and do most of the work for you!

2. Using a Cheap or Free Platform
A lot of entrepreneurs just starting out hear about how amazing platforms like Wordpress are. They hear there is so much flexibility and you can have your website look any way you want and it’s basically free!
What they probably don’t hear about is the learning curve that comes with Wordpress. I am not saying Wordpress is a bad option, it certainly isn’t. But it certainly isn’t for everyone.
If you don’t know how to use it properly, your website can turn out looking like a newbie. Nothing bad with being a newbie, but you want to show people you are a professional!

3. Not Collecting Emails
I’ll be honest, this is definitely a mistake that I made when I first became an online entrepreneur. For many years. I even knew the importance of collecting emails, but I still kept putting it off.
I don’t want you to end up like me and thousands of other new entrepreneurs. Start collecting emails ASAP! This will allow you to grow your business and your income!
